So now that we've already inserted our article here, I wanted just to share a little bit about how I like to format my pages, on my homepage especially. So as you can see, it's pretty blank right now because we have a very limited amount of articles that are ready. But I trust that if we keep on growing the website, if we keep on growing Lamplighter, we will have a very...

page that is very aesthetically pleasing so what how I usually like to begin is through doing the thumbnail sketches as you can see the photo that I've inserted into the video right now this is an accumulation of just personal random doodles and also through visiting professional websites like the Times magazine right as you can see there are a lot of creative things that a Times

different shapes colors, but like a general style of like the article. That's one thing that's very important to keep it consistent, which is why I recommend using the same using paragraph three paragraph one for all of them to keep it consistent. The style of the lamp lighter will change over the years, so I'm not going to comment too much about that, but the key thing is just to be consistent. Right, and now I'm going to talk about how to add more things.

01:29

Um, so other things now that we've learned how to add an article, everything else should be pretty self-explanatory If you wanted to add a line to create um barriers, that's how you would do it

01:40

Unfortunately, Squarespace does not allow us to create vertical lines. Um, if you want to do so, you're more than welcome to watch YouTube video and learn how to paste an HTML code or write your own codes to create vertical lines. But that is not expected from a layout or web editor like me.

So but I'm just going to show you guys how to do other things. Like if you want to add social links, we have our Spotify and we have our Instagram. That's how you would do it. If you want to add say a video, it's pretty self-explanatory. It's the same thing with an image you click and then you would edit and then add a video. That's pretty simple. Same thing goes for the photos. And one more thing with buttons.

02:34

how you would do it is very similar to what we did with linking the article, paste the article in, save, exit, and the button should be able to work.

02:48

Hopefully this was very helpful for you guys. This would provide you guys with the basic information of how to style and edit your own landing page.
